In March 2004, Lee County EMS flight personnel flew the EC145 from Shreveport, Louisiana to the Helicopter Association International conference "Helo-Expo" in Las Vegas, Nevada. This flight allowed EMS flight personnel to log flight time prior to official receipt of the helicopter scheduled for late March. The EC145 and the EC155 flew in tandem to the event allowing for the opportunity to take pictures of both aircrafts in flight. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the delivery of the EC145 to Lee County is scheduled for April 14, 2004 at Centennial Park in Fort Myers, FL.
